Overview

The BK5K Road Race is held to honor Bob Kierlin, founder of Fastenal and lifelong supporter of youth programs. All proceeds go to various area youth organizations/programs demonstrating financial need. Funding grants will be evaluated for merit and dispersed by the BK5K Youth Fund Award Committee in partnership with the Winona Community Foundation. The first and second place finishers in each 5K age group 19+ receive $50 and $25, respectively, that will be paid to their selected Run for Funds organization.

When registering, please choose if you will be participating in the BK5K at Lake Lodge (on-site) on June 19, 2021 or on your own at a location of your choosing and submit your time virtually (off-site). |

Trophies are awarded for the top three finishers in age groups 12 - 59. The top three finishers in age groups 60 and older will be awarded BK5K Apparel.
Each category for men and women: 12 and younger; 13 - 14; 15 - 16; 17 - 18; 19 - 29; 30 - 34; 35 - 39; 40 - 44; 45 - 49; 50 - 54; 55 - 59; 60 - 64; 65 - 69; 70-74; 75-79; 80 and older.

Kids Age Groups
We are currently monitoring COVID-19 guidelines from the Minnesota Dept of Health to finalize our race format. At this time we will only have registration open for the 5K event as we may not be able to hold the 1K youth races.
